A man has died following a two-vehicle crash on the state’s south coast.
The fatal collision took place on the Princes Hwy, near Donnellys Rd, south of Moruya, about 6.50am on Monday.
Emergency services attended the scene where NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a man, believed to be in his 30s, however he died at the scene. The man is yet to be formally identified.
NSW Police, Toll Ambulance Helicopter and crash investigators also attended the scene.
Two other adults were treated at the scene and taken to hospital in a stable condition. Their ages are not known at this time.
A police officer at the scene said it was an awful crash.
“Traffic is now being controlled but there are still delays when travelling through,” they said.
“It’s just such a devastating crash”
A white Land Cruiser, which was one of the two vehicles involved in the crash, has been left badly damaged.
It appears the crash has also damaged safety barriers in the side of the road.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District have established a crime scene which will be forensically examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
The highway was closed for hours after the crash, however it has since reopened with stop/slow traffic conditions in place.
Traffic controllers at the scene are continuing to maintain traffic and said they would be doing so until the scene was cleared.
“We don’t know how long it is going to take,” they said.
