Merimbula: Police seize 350 cannabis plants in South Coast search
NSW Police have dismantled a ‘sophisticated’ hydroponic cannabis set-up during a search of a home on the Far South Coast, with around 350 plants, meth, and MDMA seized.

NSW Police have dismantled a ‘sophisticated’ hydroponic cannabis set-up during a search of a home in Merimbula, with around 350 plants, meth, and MDMA being seized.
Officers from the South East Region Enforcement Squad made the discovery during a search of a home on Arthur Kaine Dr about 8.30am on Thursday, in relation to weapons and firearms prohibition orders.
With assistance from South Coast Police District, SERES officers located and dismantled the concealed cannabis system containing plants in varying stages of growth, with 2.5kg of dried cannabis also being seized.
Prescription medication, gel blaster rounds, and cannabis cultivation equipment was also uncovered.
Following the search, a 42-year-old Rocky Hall man was arrested on Friday.
He was charged with a string of drug offences, including enhanced indoor cultivation of a plant for commercial purposes, supplying and possessing a greater than indictable quantity of cannabis, and possessing a prohibited drug.
He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Saturday.
