A ‘sensational’ seafood and burger shack has won the hearts of South Coast locals and has been crowned the best at serving burgers.
Dalmeny takeaway spot Glennie’s Seafood and Burger Shack has won the title of Best Burger on the South Coast in a joint competition by The South Coast News and Delicious Magazine.
It was up to locals to nominate their favourite spot for a burger, with Glennie’s taking the crown in the voting stage.
A common spot for locals every day of the week, Glennie’s offers customers a range of burgers to choose from.
From the Classic Cheese Burger with a 100 per cent beef patty, onion, cheese, pickles, mustard and ketchup to a Crispy Fried Fish Burger with fish, lettuce, coriander and lemon dressing.
For those wanting to branch out there’s the Chicken Burger with crispy butter milk chicken fillet, cheese, coleslaw and sriracha mayo and even a Tofu Burger for those wanting to stay away from meat.
Burgers can be washed down with delicious shakes including a classic vanilla malted thick shake, a banana, peanut butter, chocolate and malt option or even mixed berry and Anzac biscuit.
Customers also have the option to add loaded fried on the side, or even some onion rings.
“Best place for dinner in the area!” one customer wrote on Facebook.
“Our group of four went here for take out and were blown away by our meals! Amazing sweet potato scallops, fish burgers, chips and the staff were great!”
Not only do customers rave about the food, but the service of owner Glennie and her team keep them coming back for more.
“Best takeaway on the south coast. Great fast service, sensational fish and chips. Terrific Burgers and healthy salads too,” another reviewer wrote.
“Without a doubt the best feed on the south coast and reasonably priced too,” another said.
