The scale of an alleged major drug supply operation on the state’s south coast – with links to the Comanchero bikie gang – has been revealed after a bikie member admitted to the sale of $250,000 worth of illegal drugs.

Joshua Elliott, 27, of Worrigee, faced Nowra Local Court on Friday and pleaded guilty to two counts of commercial drug supply and participate in criminal group.

Blake Gennison, 28, of Wrights Beach – who police allege heard the sergeant of arms for the Comanchero south coast chapter – was arrested alongside Elliot and charged with five counts of ongoing drug supply, two counts of commercial drug supply, two counts of knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, and participation in a criminal group. He has not yet entered any pleas.

Police documents tendered to the court reveal the extent of the alleged bikie-led drug supply operation, which was foiled by officers as part of Operation Erebus on May 17 last year.

Operation Erebus was launched in 2022 in response to a rise in violence between organised crime groups.

One day after the police operation was launched, the two Comanchero bikies were arrested at Gennison’s Wright Beach home near Jervis Bay following a police raid.

Court documents state Elliot, along with Gennison’s alleged involvement, supplied large quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and MDMA for the Comanchero bikie gang around the Nowra and other areas in NSW between October 2020 and June 2021.

The pair allegedly sold 1.6kg of MDMA, 649g of cocaine and more than 800g of meth, totalling nearly $250,000 worth of sales.

During a Supreme Court bail application for Gennison, the court heard of “damning” messages intercepted on an encrypted mobile messaging app.

“(The messages) are detailed – there is no doubt what is going on,” the police prosecutor said.

“We can see him directing the supply, again and again. It‘s not just once or twice, it’s again and again.”

In Nowra Local Court on Friday, the pair’s lawyer Mustafa Agar recommended Elliot’s case be adjourned for sentencing at the Nowra District Court.

However, he suggested Gennison’s matter be moved to the Downing Centre Local Court to link up with connected proceedings.

Elliot’s charges were adjourned for sentencing at the Nowra District Court on August 7. Meanwhile, Gennison’s charges will be mentioned at the Downing Centre Local Court on July 6. The pair remain on bail.
