Batemans Bay: Senior constable charged with common assault
A senior constable on the NSW south coast who allegedly assaulted two teenagers has been charged with common assault.

A police officer who allegedly assaulted two teenagers while on duty on the NSW south coast has been charged.
Police allege on October 31, 2023, the police officer – a senior constable in the Southern Region – allegedly assaulted two 17-year-olds.
The two teens were arrested, however were later released without being charged.
On Tuesday, following investigations, the police officer was charged with two counts of common assault.
He was also issued a court attendance notice and will appear before the Batemans Bay Local Court on October 14.
The police officer is currently suspended without pay.
