Zac Barnes was last seen at Thornton in November, 2016; Family desperate for answers
The family of Zac Barnes says “nothing makes sense” in his disappearance almost four years ago. They’re pleading with the public for any information to help find their “outgoing larrikin”.

The family of a Maitland teenager who went missing almost four years ago continue to hold out hope of finding their “outgoing larrikin”.
Zac Barnes was last seen at about 8pm, Sunday November 13, 2016, at Thornton. He was 18 when he disappeared.
The apprentice bricklayer, who loved his mates and footy was with two friends when it’s believed he ran off and just disappeared.
His family are desperate to find out what happened, pleading to anyone with information.
They have dedicated a Facebook page, ‘Find Zac Barnes’, in a bid to uncover any new information about his disappearance.
“Nothing makes sense,” a post said.
“Zac has not used his bank accounts or social media accounts since that day.
“What happened to Zac seems to be a mystery, there has been no firm sightings Australia wide. Maitland detectives are working hard on the case.
“Zac is loud if you were in the room with him and you would definitely know he was there especially if he had a few beers under his belt he would be hugging you or making you laugh or both.
“Australia we need your help to find Zac.”
The now 22-year-old was last seen wearing blue board shorts, a single tank top and steel cap work boots.
He has a VB label tattooed on the back of his calf muscle, which could be a key identifying mark.
Last week it was indicated the police brief in Zac’s disappearance was finally with the coroner and family hoped to get more answers soon.
“Zac is still missing and we will continue to fight the good fight,” it said.
“Lots of people have come forward with different details. Please don’t be afraid to talk, you can remain anonymous (for whatever reason) no-one will know you have said anything.”
