Towarri National Park: Man charged with game hunting deer
An Adamstown man will face Scone Local Court next month charged in relation to the “game hunting” of deers in Towarri National Park.

Police have seized firearms and a silencer after charging a Newcastle man for illegally “game hunting” deer in a Hunter Valley national park.
Rural crime investigators will allege the 33-year-old man and a woman entered the Towarri National Park, near Scone, during two nights in March with two tracking dogs and a rifle.
The Hunter Valley rural crime prevention team were notified by National Park and Wildlife Officers and commenced a multi-agency investigation with the Department of Primary Industries game licencing unit.
The investigation led to police speaking with the man at a Blacksmiths home earlier this month before executing a search warrant on an Adamstown
Heights home where they allegedly seized ammunition, a silencer and clothing. Four rifles were also seized.
The man will face Scone Local Court on June 22 on charges including hunt, shoot, injure,
