A man, who allegedly tried to encourage further attacks on police during a wild party at Lake Macquarie last month, had his matter adjourned at Belmont Local Court today.
Police allege Jordan Baxter, 21, from Windale was at a house party on Bridgewater Close, Eleebana on Friday March 6 when it started to get out of control.
Lake Macquarie Police arrived just after 10pm, with more than 100 revellers blocking the street.
They were then attacked, with a number of people at the party throwing glass bottles towards police.
An officer sustained minor injuries when they were hit by a flying bottle, and a police vehicle was also damaged.
They had to call in reinforcements to break up the party and disperse the crowd.
During this, police allege Baxter harassed a police dog and tried to incite the crowd into again attacking police.
The 21-year-old allegedly struggled with police before being arrested after he failed to comply with a police direction to move on.
He was charged with fail to comply with direction, behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school, and resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty.
Baxter was granted strict conditional bail. He briefly appeared at Belmont Local Court on Wednesday where his matter was adjourned until June.
