Man arrested in relation to baby Bodhi John’s death at Aberdeen
A man has been arrested in a vehicle stop in Muswellbrook following a large scale search in a small village south east of Tamworth after the death of a baby boy in the Upper Hunter.

Following a large scale police operation south east of Tamworth — where detectives investigating the suspicious death of a baby boy in the Upper Hunter were looking for a person of interest — a man has been taken into custody at a vehicle stop in Muswellbrook.
Hunter Valley Police arrested the 34-year-old man on the New England Highway just after 6.30pm on Wednesday.
He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station. No charges have been laid.
About 11am Wednesday, police launched a significant search for a man in the tiny village of Nundle, about 100km north of the crime scene.
It is understood police were searching for a man wanted for questioning over the death of seven-month-old Bodhi John on Sunday.
The baby boy was rushed from the family home at Aberdeen to Muswellbrook hospital unresponsive on Sunday afternoon and could not be revived.
He had suffered significant injuries and an autopsy is set to determine the child’s cause of death.
Hunter Valley detectives kicked off an investigation into the suspicious death and have been searching for a man for questioning.
The man was already wanted on outstanding warrants before Bodhi John died on Sunday.
The search concentrated on the village of Nundle on Wednesday morning.
Nundle is on the western edge of the Barrington Tops between Scone and Tamworth.
Hunter Valley detectives were joined by local general duties police and specialist officers to search an area adjacent to Point and Charles streets.
