Denman: A man has been struck and killed by a falling tree on a rural property

Emergency services were called to a rural property on the Golden Highway around 1.30pm, following reports a tree had fallen on a man.

Hunter Valley Police have set up a crime scene after a man was killed by a tree in the Hunter Valley.

Emergency services were called to a rural property on the Golden Highway at Denman at around 1.30pm, following reports a tree had fallen on a man.

The man, aged in his 50s, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified

Police are commencing inquiries to understand the circumstances surrounding his death.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
