Bandidos death: Harden man charged at Muswellbrook, denied bail over alleged shooting murder

A 35-year-old Harden man appeared in Muswellbrook Local Court on Wednesday as the ninth person charged over the January shooting death of Bandidos boss Shane De Britt.

A ninth person has been charged over the alleged shooting murder of a senior outlaw bikie figure in the state’s central west.

A 35-year-old Harden man was arrested at a Muswellbrook service station on Tuesday morning.

He was taken to Muswellbrook police station and charged with murder, participating in a criminal group and contributing criminal activity.

The man was denied bail in Muswellbrook Local Court on Wednesday, to appear in Dubbo Local Court on November 25.

The Central West Bandidos chapter president was gunned down inside his home on a rural property at Eurimbla, near Wellington, on January 14.

Police said the 60-year-old was shot in the head.

Strike Force Kerrison has charged eight other men — aged 58, 39, 39, 38, 37, 32 and 22 — and a 34-year-old woman over their alleged roles in the murder.

Those eight people remain before the courts.

Their identities have been kept secret as police investigations continue.
