Shoal Bay: Police lodge public appeal for information over alleged sexual assault

Police have issued a public appeal for help over an alleged sexual assault of a woman in the state’s north.
Police allege at 2am Sunday morning, a woman was walking along Shoal Bay Rd near Government Rd when she was sexually assaulted.
She was able to flee the scene, heading to a hospital and alerting emergency services before police were informed.
Local detectives have launched an investigation under Strike Force Bundanoon, assisted by the
State Crime Command’s Sex Crim Squad.
Police have released the description of a man who they believe may be able to assist.
The man is described as being about 50-years-old, between 180cm-185cm in height, with a tall and chubby build, and wearing a grey hoodie with black pants.
