Police appeal for information into Cardiff aggravated armed robbery

Police have released two images in a public appeal for information into an armed robbery at a payphone on a quiet suburban street in Lake Macquarie earlier this month. Here’s what we know.

Police have released two images in a bid to uncover more information into an aggravated armed robbery on a quiet suburban street in Lake Macquarie earlier this month.

Officers are now on the hunt for three men believed to be armed with a knife when they threatened another man at a payphone on Veronica St, Cardiff at about 12:30am on April 11.

Police say the group fled with clothes and alcohol following the incident.

Lake Macquarie detectives have made an urgent appeal to the public for any information on a white Toyota Tarago or similar with green P plates.

They ask anyone who may recognise the vehicle or may have seen it in the area around that time or could have dashcam or CCTV footage to contact Crime Stoppers.

Police also wish to speak with the group of men captured in another photo – all seen wearing hoodies, as it is believed they may have important information that could assist police with their enquiries.
