A Hunter drink-driver who was taken to the ground and handcuffed after lashing out at police who attempted to apprehend her has been banned from alcohol for 18 months.

Agreed police facts state officers saw Jansen turn onto Queen St and activated their warning lights in efforts to pull her over.

Jansen then struggled to unlock the door and then made at least six attempts to blow into a breathalyser before she finally provided a sufficient sample.

She returned a positive result and police then advised her she was under arrest.
