Dungog man Jordan Mitchell charged with drug and firearm offences at Heddon Greta
Hunter Valley police say they stopped the car as part of firearms prohibited order when they allegedly seized the drugs, gun and a large amount of cash.

A man has been refused bail after police allegedly seized $18,000, methamphetamine, a pistol and prescription medication during a vehicle search.
Dungog man Jordan Mitchell, 25, was arrested after Hunter Valley police stopped his sedan while patrolling Main Rd at Heddon Greta about 12.30pm on Tuesday.
Police said they stopped the sedan “for the purpose of a vehicle search under a firearms prohibited order”.
A police statement said the search allegedly found the firearm, $18,000 in cash, 70 grams of methamphetamine or “ice” and 34 oxycodone tables.
Mitchell was taken to Cessnock police station where he was charged.
The 13 charges include four counts of possessing a prohibited drug; two counts of knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime; acquiring a pistol-subject to firearms prohibition order; possessing an unauthorised pistol; not keeping a firearm safely-pistol; and possessing ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority.
He was also charged with supplying an indictable quantity of cannabis.
He briefly faced Cessnock Local Court on Wednesday where he did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody to appear in Newcastle Local Court on August 9.
