Body found by swimmer in Swan Bay ocean near Nelson Bay

A swimmer was shocked to discover a body floating in the state’s north coast. Police are investigating the man’s death.

A swimmer discovered a body floating in the ocean off the NSW north coast.

The body of the middle-aged man has been recovered and police are investigating.

The body is yet to be formally identified, but is believed to be that of a 44-year-old man.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

An investigation into the incident has commenced.
