A swimmer was shocked to discover a body floating in the state’s north coast. Police are investigating the man’s death.

A swimmer discovered a body floating in the ocean off the NSW north coast.
The body of the middle-aged man has been recovered and police are investigating.
Port Stephens Water Police said the body was found about 60m offshore from Swan Bay, about 20km west of Nelson Bay at about 9.10am on Saturday, February 18.
The body is yet to be formally identified, but is believed to be that of a 44-year-old man.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
An investigation into the incident has commenced.
