Hunter Valley man, Jayden Thorpe, arrested for allegedly sexually procuring girl
A Hunter Valley man has been charged after allegedly trying to persuade a 14-year-old girl to meet him.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested by police after allegedly attempting to procure a child for sex.
Police said the 14-year-old old girl received messages on a social media platform on February 7.
Jayden Hudson Thorpe is with procure child for unlawful sexual activity.
He did not know the child, police allege.
It’s alleged a number of messages were sent before Mr Thorpe attempted to persuade the girl to meet him.
Hunter Valley Police District officers were alerted and commenced an investigation.
About 8:30pm on February 17, police arrested Thorpe at a Cliftleigh home.
He was taken to Cessnock Police Station and charged.
He was refused bail and appeared at Newcastle Local Court on Saturday, February 18 and remains in remand without bail until he faces the same court on February 20, 2023.
