Braiden Micek, 20, charged after guns, meth, cocaine and cannabis allegedly seized in Toronto search warrant

Police have allegedly seized more than half a kilogram of meth, three ounces of cocaine and several shortened firearms during a raid on a Lake Macquarie home.

Police have allegedly seized more than half a kilogram of methamphetamine, three ounces of cocaine, cannabis and two shortened firearms during a raid on a Toronto home.

Lake Macquarie police, along with specialist officers from the Northern Region operational support group, conducted the search warrant on the Milford St residence about 10.15am on Wednesday.

During the search, police allegedly seized three prohibited firearms, including two shortened guns and a replica Glock pistol, as well as ammunition.

They also allegedly found 590 grams of ice, 71 grams of cocaine and 43 grams of cannabis.

Braiden Micek, 20, was arrested at the scene and taken to Toronto police station.

He was later charged with three counts of goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen, two counts of possessing a shortened firearm (not pistol), two counts of supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug, contravening an apprehended violence order, possessing an unregistered firearm-pistol, and possessing ammunition without holding a licence or permit.

Micek faced Toronto Local Court on Thursday where he was not required to enter a plea and did not make a release application.

Magistrate John Arms formally refused Micek bail and he was remanded into custody to reappear in Toronto Local Court on September 19.
