Two arrested after police allegedly find loaded silver revolver in car, following brawl in Sydney
Two young men have been charged after Bankstown Police allegedly found a loaded silver revolver in their vehicle following a brawl in the south-west.
Two young men have been charged after Bankstown Police allegedly found a loaded gun in their vehicle following a brawl at Greenace on Monday night.
Police said around 10.30pm, they arrived at Tennyson Rd, Greenacre following reports of a brawl.
“On arrival police noticed a number of men walking along the road and a silver Lexus parked illegally,” a police spokesman said.
“Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command approached the vehicle and spoke with two occupants aged 18 and 21.
“A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a loaded silver revolver with ammunition.
“The two men were arrested and taken to Bankstown police station where the older man was charged with a number of firearm related offences, including possession of a loaded firearm in a public place.
“He was refused bail.”
The younger man was charged with possessing ammunition and was given conditional bail.
He will appear in Bankstown Local Court on Friday, March 22.
