Lakemba, Garrong Rd: Man arrested over alleged shooting
A second man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Sydney’s southwest which allegedly left another man with five gunshot wounds to his leg and abdomen.

A second man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Lakemba last month during which another man was allegedly assaulted and shot five times.
Police on Thursday morning arrested a 22-year-old man near Chapel Rd in Bankstown.
He was taken to Bankstown police station, where he was charged with shoot at with intent to murder, possess unregistered firearm in public place and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Emergency services were called to a home on Garrong Rd in Lakemba just after 8.15pm on August 31 where they allegedly found a 29-year-old man with five gunshot wounds to his leg and abdomen.
The man was treated by paramedics before being taken to St George Hospital, where he underwent surgery before being released.
A 23-year-old man was arrested in Bankstown earlier this month and charged over his alleged role in the shooting.
He remains before the courts.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
