Hunt for couple who allegedly shot man and stole his car in Riverwood
A man has been left seriously injured after he was shot in the leg and had his Kia Rio stolen at gunpoint. Police are still hunting for a man and a woman.

Police are hunting for a man and a woman after a 26-year-old man was shot in the leg while sitting in his car before it was stolen at gunpoint in Riverwood.
The man was treated by police officers and emergency services staff at the scene before being taken to hospital on Tuesday, December 31.
A Campsie Police spokesman said they were appealing for any information and dashcam footage after the man was found seriously wounded on Jindalee Pl just before 5.30pm.
“Our officers administered significant first aid to the injured man which was crucial to him not sustaining further medical complications,” the spokesman said.
“He was also treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to St George Hospital where his condition has improved.”
The spokesman said the couple, who allegedly carjacked the man, had earlier been driving a stolen Mercedes Benz which had been involved in an accident with an Audi on the Belmore Rd off-ramp.
“The vehicle failed to stop, drove through a fence and into Rotary Park where the two occupants fled on foot, chased by witnesses,” he said.
“The pair approached a Kia Rio parked in nearby Jindalee Pl and threatened the driver with a firearm.
“The man refused to get out and was shot in the leg before being pushed out of the vehicle, and the man and woman then drove off.”
