SPECTACULAR harness racing and glamorous fashion make a welcome return to Bankstown Paceway on Friday for the Carnival of Cups race night.
Drivers will battle it out to win a number of hotly-contested races including the Group 3 Sydney Cup.
The Carnival of Cups is the premier event on Bankstown Paceway’s autumn racing calendar and will kick off Friday night racing for the 2017-18 season.
Racegoers can choose to dine in style at the trackside Champions Restaurant, where they can enjoy reserved-table seating and a three-course buffet dinner.
“Whether you’re a harness-racing enthusiast, an occasional punter, part of the hard-partying glitterati or a hardworking family just looking for a fun night out, we are delighted to extend an invitation to you to be part of history,” Bankstown Paceway director Megan Lavender said.
“Our glamour and action-packed night racing extravaganza will include family fun and children’s activities, competitions, lots of prizes and giveaways galore for all racegoers, plus so much more.”
Gates open at 4.30pm, with the first Carnival of Cups race set for 5.30pm. Entry is free.
