Dozens of firearms and drugs charges after Strike Force Cower raids southwest properties

The Drug Squad has laid dozens of charges after busting up an alleged drug and firearm supply syndicate.
The Drug Squad’s Chemical Operations Unit began investigating methamphetamine supply in the southwest in June under Strike Force Cower.
On November 16 a Bankstown man, 37, was arrested in Liverpool and charged with more than 30 offences related to firearm supply, drug possession and manufacturing.
He was refused bail to reappear at Liverpool Local Court on January 10.
Strike force investigators, the Riot Squad and North West and South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squads searched seven locations in Bankstown, Bonnyrigg, Cabramatta, Canley Heights, Green Valley, Mt Pritchard and Parramatta.
Investigators found three clandestine laboratories and a hydroponic set-up, as well as $57,000 in cash, $3800 in US dollars, ice, ephedrine, amphetamines, precursors, glassware and items associated with ice.
They also found 27 cannabis plants, cannabis, LSD, ice, heroin, ammunition and electronic equipment.
A Mt Pritchard man, 29, was charged with more than a dozen offences related to drug manufacturing, supply and firearm supply.
A 31-year-old Bankstown woman was charged with several counts related to drug manufacturing, supply and criminal group activity.
Both were bail-refused to reappear at Bankstown Local Court on Monday, November 20.
A Cabramatta man, 23, was charged with drug and weapons offences and given bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court next month.
