PARENTS pushing prams, elite athletes and even a two-year-old have all crossed the line at Georges Hall’s Festival of the Feet — and this year will be no different.

The charity fun run, hosted by the Western Districts Joggers and Harriers club this Sunday, is all about bringing ages and abilities together to enjoy “sucking in lots of oxygen”.

Club vice-president Robert Davidson 70, has run 25 ironmans in his time but said the Festival of the Feet is special for its atmosphere.

“You see competitive runners standing beside little kids and all taking off together ... it’s just a fun festival feel,” Mr Davidson said.

The festival offers 3km, 7km, 14km or 21.1km off-road runs that wind around Georges River and around Lake Gillawarna.

Last year the event attracted more than 600 runners and club captain Ben Swinfield said he hopes this year there’ll be more.

“If you’re looking to improve it’s a great opportunity to come down and get a race in,” Mr Swinfield.

Race costs range from $15 for the 3km to $55 — if you book online by July 14. You can also register on the day for $25-$70.
