Calista Maatouk: Punchbowl woman allegedly assaulted man while armed with knife
A 23-year-old who allegedly threatened two men with a knife before driving off in a black Mercedes has been charged by police.

A Sydney woman has been apprehended and arrested after an alleged altercation in a car park in Greenacre on Sunday.
Calista Maatouk, 23, from Punchbowl, allegedly threatened two men with a knife in the Roberts Rd car park at 8pm on Sunday night.
According to accounts given to police, Maatouk was then pushed to the ground by one of them before she fled the scene in a black Mercedes.
Following inquiries, police attended a home on Catherine Street, Punchbowl, and arrested Maatouk, taking her to Auburn Police Station where she was charged with common assault (DV) and armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.
Appearing before Burwood Local Court today, Maatouk’s bail application was formally refused.
Police prosecutors for the case have been given a directive to submit CCTV footage of the alleged assault to the court by June 30.
Maatouk’s case is set to return to Burwood on January 16, 2023.
