Boy hit by car in Bankstown in serious condition

A FIVE-year-old boy is in a serious condition after he was hit by a car in Bankstown this morning.

A YOUNG boy was hit by a car in Sydney’s southwest this morning, leaving him in a serious condition.

Paramedics were called to the intersection of Rickard Rd and Lady Cutler Ave in Bankstown at 8.15am this morning after reports a sedan struck a boy.

The five-year-old boy was treated at the scene for suspected fractures before he was taken to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.

The hospital was unable to provide any further updates as to the nature of the boy’s injuries.

The female driver of the car was uninjured and taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit will conduct an investigation into the incident.
