A Belfield resident is the newest millionaire in our city, bagging the first division one win in Monday night’s Lotto Strike draw.
The Belfield entry was the only division one winning entry in Lotto Strike draw 4582 on November 26 and takes home the entire division one prize of $1,171,249.00.
“How the winner plans to spend their Lotto Strike windfall and begin their life as a millionaire will be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in a shroud of secrecy,” a Lotto spokesman said.
“However, amid the excitement of discovering their win this morning, they did describe the prize as ‘pretty fantastic’”
This is remarkably the 14th first division winner from the Belfield Newsagency, whose owner Ding Liu could not hide his delight at more luck coming their way in Canterbury Bankstown.
“The winner was registered so they are automatically informed of their win but we don’t know yet who this is,” Mr Liu said.
“We’re so happy another one of our customers is a big winner.
“We have sold our second first division winning ticket this year, with someone else winning $200,000 in June from a $5 ticket.
“We have been running this newsagency since 19977 and are happy we have so many winners.
The southwest has seen a fair share of lottery winners this year with the biggest being the unknown punter from Riverwood, who won the $3.88 million Jackpot prize in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10234 in July.
However, he did not claim his prize for three weeks, being unaware of his amazing good fortune despite the ticket being in his wallet.
The winning numbers in Lotto Strike draw 4582 on Monday, November 26, were 30, 2, 3 and 45.
Lotto Strike is an add-on game that is played with Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto.
Lotto Strike’s division one prize is won by selecting the first four Lotto numbers in the exact order they are drawn in the Lotto draw.
The Lotto’s division one winning tally has now reached 157 so far this financial year, including 50 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
■ In the 12 months to June 30, 74 million winners took home a total of $2.7 billion in prize money from their games including Saturday Lotto, Monday and Wednesday Lotto, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno and Instant Scratch-Its.
