Bass Hill man charged with trying to stuff down sausages, avocado down his pants
A man allegedly stuffed sausages and fruits down his trousers at a supermarket in Bass Hill before fleeing the store after being confronted by a staffer.

Police have arrested a man who allegedly stuffed sausages and fruits down his trousers at a supermarket at the Bass Hill shopping centre.
Bankstown Police will allege a 28-year-old man was seen trying to conceal several food items, including an avocado and frankfurt sausages, down the front of his pants around 1.30pm on Tuesday.
Police said a staff member had approached the man and requested him to pay for the items.
“The man allegedly refused and threatened the staff member before leaving the store in a vehicle,” a police spokesman said.
“Bankstown Police Area Command were called to attend and commenced an investigation.
“The staff member was not injured during the incident.”
He said around 5.15pm, police attended a home in Kirrily Place, Bass Hill and arrested the man.
“Food items, including the avocado and sausages, were located at the scene,’ the spokesman said.
“He was taken to Campsie Police Station and charged with trespass and robbery and was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today.”
