Scott Pfeiffer: Cronulla sales manager in cocaine supply shame

A Sydney sales manager was spending $1000 a week on cocaine when he started selling the drug to his friends to support his habit. But it all came crashing down when police raided his unit, where they found drugs - and another strange item he was charged over.

Scott Pfeiffer, 49, was charged with prohibited drug supply after he admitted to police he was dealing cocaine to his friends to support his own habit.

A businessman with a $1000 a week cocaine habit and a stolen “keep left” road sign hung on his wall as a souvenir of a particularly wild bender was selling bags to his friends to support his own habit.

Scott Pfeiffer, 49, was charged with prohibited drug supply and possessing stolen goods after a police raid at his Esplanade apartment in Cronulla on October 19.

Magistrate Michael Love at Sutherland Local Court said the freight sales manager confessed to dealing cocaine to his friends after police found 1.57g of the drug in his unit.

“He told them he had been supplying to his friends to support his habit,” Mr Love said.

“Police located messages on his phone which also indicated the supply of cocaine.”

Pfeiffer was sentenced to a community corrections order for 18 months with community service and supervision by Sutherland Community Corrections.

The court heard Pfeiffer had previously never used drugs until his marriage broke down in the years prior.

He then began selling grams of cocaine to friends for $250 to $300 each because “he was told he had good stuff”.

“His drug use escalated to the point where he was spending $1000 a week on drugs,” Mr Love said.

“He was in significant financial distress because of gambling and his drug use.”

Pfeiffer said he felt regret for his choices.

In a letter to the court Pfeiffer said he felt “utmost shame, regret and embarrassment” for his behaviour.

He was also convicted and fined $100 for having the “keep left” road sign hung on his wall.

“(He told police) it ended up in the unit after a party one night,” police facts stated.
