A home in Sydney’s south has been shot up while the occupants were inside in a shocking dawn attack.

A NSW Police spokesman confirmed police received reports shots were fired into a house on Kingsland Rd in Bexley around 6am on Monday.

“The occupants were home at the time but no-one was injured,” the spokesman said.

“Inquiries are continuing.”

Officers are still examining a crime scene at the home.

It is the third time a home has been shot at in the nearby area in less than three months.

There is currently no suggestion the three shootings are linked.

A NSW Police Media spokesman said police believe the shootings are targeted.

“Police are currently following a number of lines of inquiry into the motive for each incident and potential for any connections between them,” the spokesman said.

“Shootings in any public area are of significant concern to police.”

The spokesman said the NSW Police Force is committed to targeting violent crime across the state.

“Public acts of violence are dangerous and will not be tolerated by police,” the spokesman said.

“These incidents show a blatant disregard for community safety.”

Anyone with information about the shootings was urged to contact St George police.

“All matters will be investigated thoroughly by police in order to bring offenders to justice,” the spokesman said.

“No one is above the law and anyone found to be involved in public-place shootings will feel the full force of the law.”

On October 17 last year a Station St home in Arncliffe was shot at by an unknown person while a 31-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were at home inside.

In a separate incident on December 27 another Arncliffe home was shot at while two little girls slept inside.

At 2am an unknown person fired several shots from the driver’s window of a white Mercedes AMG into a Wollongong Rd home in Arncliffe, where members of the Jomaa family reside.

At the time Detective Superintendent Tony Cooke from St George police said it was “absolutely disgusting behaviour”.

“This is ridiculous behaviour, it is absolutely unacceptable,” Det Supt Cooke said.

“It’s an absolute disgrace.”

At the time police did not believe there was any connection to the prior shooting at the Station St home.
