Penshurst car crash: woman charged with dangerous driving
A woman was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road when police say she struck a motorcycle with two passengers and fled the scene early on Monday in southern Sydney. The 22-year-old woman will face court today.
A woman was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road when police say she struck a motorcycle with two passengers and fled the scene early on Monday morning.
The 22-year-old Sans Souci woman was driving a Peugeot hatchback on Forest Rd in Penshurst at 1.20am on Monday when she allegedly collided with a motorcycle being ridden by a 38-year-old man and a 26-year-old female pillion passenger.
The man and woman remain in St George Hospital in a stable condition after they were thrown from the bike and both suffered multiple fractures.
Police allege the Sans Souci woman left the scene without rendering assistance before Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit officers attended a home on MacDonald St, Sans Souci and arrested her around midday.
The woman was charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm, negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm, failing to stop and render assistance after a crash and not keeping left of the dividing line.
She was refused bail to face Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday.
