The son of Ian Thorpe’s former swim coach has pleaded not guilty to more than 40 child sex abuse charges after allegedly molesting 11 children at the swim school where he worked.

Paul Douglas Frost, 44, pleaded not guilty to 46 of his 126 child sex abuse charges at Burwood Local Court this week with the rest being dropped.

Frost, from Sylvania, sat quietly in court in a white shirt and navy linen blazer as the magistrate read out each of the 126 charges against him during his committal.

It comes after he had 126 child sex abuse charges laid against him dating back from 1996 to 2009 when he worked at his father’s Doug Frost Swim School in Padstow.

The father-of-two faces 18 counts of sexual intercourse with a person under 16, two counts of grooming a child under 14 for unlawful sexual activity as well as multiple charges of aggravated indecent assault and indecency.

Frost, who is also a former MasterChef contestant, is accused of molesting at least 10 boys and one girl aged 10 to 16.

One of those boys was allegedly subjected to a four-year campaign of abuse aged from 11 to 15, court documents allege.

Distressing claims include the former swimming coach allegedly had sexual intercourse with four boys and one 10-year-old girl.

The ex-primary school teacher is also alleged to have touched students beneath or on their Speedos and had oral sex while working as a swim coach.

On one occasion he allegedly put his hand on a victim’s penis and “prodded and stroked” it when the child was just 12 and for another child he is alleged to have “thrust” a victim’s penis between his legs.

Frost is also alleged to have given another 13-year-old boy alcohol “with the intention of making it easier to procure (the child) for unlawful sexual activity,” court documents allege.

The former coach, who now lives in Hurstville, allegedly made one girl victim put her hands “under his shorts and over his penis.”

In court, Frost through his lawyer pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

His lawyer Simon O’Toole also asked to alter his bail conditions so that he can be in contact with his defence counsel which was granted.
