A former Sydney swim coach charged with sexually abusing 11 children as young as 10 years old will face a lengthy trial on dozens of charges.

Paul Frost, 45, faced Downing Centre District Court on Friday for arraignment, where he pleaded not guilty to a shocking 46 child sexual abuse charges.

Frost is now set to face trial more than two decades since police allege he began sexually abusing 11 children – 10 boys and one girl – then aged between 10 and 16, whom he knew through his role as a swim coach at Doug Frost Swim Academy in Padstow.

The trial – anticipated to take 10 weeks – will begin on June 15 next year.

Frost, accompanied by his parents, was calm and unemotional as he responded “not guilty” 46 times during his arraignment before Judge Dina Yehia.

Police originally brought more than 120 charges against Frost, and 46 sequences will now proceed to trial.

The charges include 20 counts of indecent assault, 18 counts of sexual assault, six counts of inciting an indecent act and two counts of exposing a child to indecent material.

The offences allegedly occurred between June 1996 and December 2009, and all but one allegedly took place in Padstow where Frost’s former workplace was situated.

A single count of sexual assault against Complainant A in 2001 allegedly occurred in Homebush.

Court documents previously revealed grim details of the alleged case against Frost, who is charged with raping the young boys and girl, kissing some of them on the mouth and repeatedly forcing them to perform sexual acts.

The other allegations of sexual assault against the children are too graphic and distressing to be repeated.

Police allege Frost sexually assaulted Complainant A five times and indecently assaulted him twice between 1996 and 2001, beginning when the boy was aged just 11.

Frost allegedly sexually assaulted Complainant B twice, indecently assaulted him three times and incited him to commit an act of indecency once.

Complainant C was allegedly indecently assaulted three times by Frost between 1998 and 2001.

Police will allege Complainant D – the only girl – was sexually assaulted three times and indecently assaulted twice by Frost when she was as young as 10.

Frost allegedly sexually assaulted Complainant E twice and indecently assaulted him three times in 2002.

Complainant E was allegedly incited to commit an act of indecency twice in 2000 and 2001.

In one of the most grave alleged cases, Complainant F was allegedly sexually assaulted by Frost seven times, indecently assaulted once, and incited to commit an indecent act with an unknown male child beginning when he was just 13 and continuing until he was 16 in 2004.

Police will allege Complainant G was indecently assaulted twice, Complainant H was incited to commit an act of indecency, and Complainant J was incited to commit an act of indecency.

Frost was also charged with allegedly exposing Complainant K to pornographic material twice in an effort to procure him for sexual activity and indecently assaulting him twice.
