A southern Sydney woman caught with methylamphetamine in her pocket, the console of a silver Audi and a trio of freezer bags at a serviced apartment will face a stint behind bars.

Natalie Simonovski, 22, was charged in May last year after police discovered her with a significant stash of high-purity methylamphetamine, resealable bags and a set of scales.

“On May 17, 2019, police found a clear resealable bag in Natalie Simonovski’s left pant pocket (containing) 0.11g of methylamphetamine with a purity of 76.5 per cent,” court documents state.

“On May 18 police found a clear resealable bag in the centre console of a silver Audi (containing) 0.28g of meth with a purity of 80.5 per cent, (and) three knotted freezer bags and a clear resealable bag in a Systema brand container … at Value Suites Serviced Apartments.”

Police found a total of 82.5g of meth with a purity of 75 to 76.5 per cent, and another 8.4g of unknown purity in a sandwich bag.

During her August trial Judge Robert Weber at Downing Centre District Court heard fingerprint evidence on a plastic container holding the freezer bags, an Oppo phonebox and a hard case containing a set of scales connected Simonovski to the drugs.

She was found guilty of prohibited drug possession, indictable drug supply and dealing with the property proceeds of crime and her bail was revoked ahead of her sentence, which will be handed down on October 9.

Simonovski will first be sentenced at Central Local Court for additional offences she committed while on bail for the drug supply charges during a dramatic car chase with police.

Police told Newtown Local Court the Connells Point woman reached speeds of 130km/h in a 60km/h zone as she sped away from police along Parramatta Rd near Stanmore in March this year.

The car chase stopped when she slammed into a kerb on Abercrombie St, Chippendale and she was subsequently charged over the pursuit and prohibited drug possession.

Simonovski pleaded guilty to a police pursuit, driving disqualified, reckless driving and two counts of prohibited drug possession and will be sentenced for those matters on September 22 at Central Local Court.
