Miranda hydro house busted in police raid

Residents near a hydro house in Sydney’s south said an overwhelming smell of cannabis inundated their streets as more than 100 plants were removed from the home during a raid.

More than 100 cannabis plants were hauled out of an innocuous fibro home in Sydney’s south during a police raid which had residents streets away inundated with the fumes.

Local residents on social media reported a strong smell of cannabis when police descended on the hydroponic house on President Ave in Miranda at 8am on Wednesday before they saw officers carrying plants out of the home.

A NSW Police spokeswoman confirmed there were more than 100 plants inside the freestanding home.

No-one was at the home during the raid and police are yet to make any arrests or lay any charges in relation to the drug bust.
