A Sydney woman threatened to kill her ex-boyfriend’s mother because she was “frustrated” and “pushed too far”.
Laura Klingenberg, 24, escaped conviction for using a carriage service to threaten life after making dozens of phone calls to the woman from Peakhurst Heights in October last year.
Klingenberg pleaded guilty to threatening to kill MM and Sutherland Local Court Magistrate Michael Connell sentenced her to an 18-month conditional release order requiring her to be of good behaviour.
“The accused attended Narellan police station and admitted threatening MM,” the agreed police facts stated.
“She said ‘I’ve been pushed so far and I can’t take it no more so I said it out of frustration’.”
The Oran Park woman had been in a relationship with the victim’s son SM for six years before they broke up.
Klingenberg and MM had a disagreement about a young person known to them both before Klingenberg made 25 phone calls and sent numerous texts.
“SM called the accused and said ‘you need to stop contacting my family’,” the facts stated.
“The accused said ‘tell your mother to stay out of it or I’ll f***ing kill her’.”
Klingenberg works as a food packer and labourer in Sydney’s southwest.
