Kurnell three-car smash: police investigation underway

POLICE are investigating a horror three-car smash in Sydney’s south last night that shut off access to an entire suburb. Miraculously, all the drivers walked away without serious injuries.

A HORROR three-car smash in Sydney’s south shut off access to a whole suburb late on Wednesday night as emergency services cleared the scene.

Residents were unable to travel in or out of Kurnell for several hours while police examined the scene of the multi-vehicle collision on Captain Cook Dr at 10.10pm.

A Sutherland Shire police spokeswoman said the second and third vehicles involved were travelling east on Captain Cook Dr towards Kurnell when the crash occurred.

“There was a collision when the first vehicle got onto the wrong side of the road,” the duty officer said.

“No-one was trapped, everyone was out of their cars when police arrived.”

Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.

At least one woman involved in the crash was taken to hospital.
