A DRIVER died after their car crashed onto train tracks in Sydney’s south on Tuesday night. Sydney Trains confirmed the fatal accident occurred after a car crashed onto the rail line.

A DRIVER has died after their car crashed onto train tracks in Sydney’s south.
Sydney Trains has confirmed a fatal accident occurred after a car crashed onto the rail line between Como and Jannali in the Sutherland Shire, on the Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra line.
Trains have been suspended between Hurstville and Sutherland due to a fatality at Como. Bus companies are being contacted to operate a replacement service between Hurstville and Sutherland. Customers may choose to utilise local buses or night ride services where available

Residents on Facebook reported hearing sirens, with one claiming the car has crashed between the station and the bridge at Como.
