An ex-NRL cheerleader and Beauty and the Geek contestant will remain behind bars after she pleaded guilty to supplying drugs last year.
A court heard Jordan Finlayson, 28, was addicted to drugs when she was caught with 87.7g of GBL, 23.2g of Xanax and 0.8g of cannabis leaf in her car in Rosebery on November 11 last year.
Days later police also found Finlayson with 7.1g of cannabis leaf and six Xanax tablets when they raided her Rosebery home.
The former glamour model was granted bail on her original charges and ordered to attend rehabilitation, but will have to remain behind bars after she was charged with additional drug offences in June and refused bail.
If she is later granted bail in relation to her latest charges Finlayson will have to reside with her parents effectively under house arrest and report to police three days a week unless she is at a nominated residential rehabilitation facility in Byron Bay.
Finlayson was also warned if she does not eventually complete the program, including counselling, educational sessions and other interventions, her bail would be automatically revoked.
She will be sentenced by Deputy Chief Magistrate Michael Allen at Downing Centre Local Court on October 22.
“You’ve been battling significant drug addiction and it will be your hardest battle yet, but if you don’t, you will be spending long periods of time in custody, away from your family,” Mr Allen told Finlayson when she pleaded guilty in July.
“Look where it’s gotten you — all people taking these substances are giving (money to) bikies who have this heinous business model, just making their pockets full of money and they are not there to assist you while you’re in custody.”
Finlayson has been supported consistently by her parents and “geek” Julian Stevenson, the molecular geneticist who competed with her in the 2011 season of Beauty and the Geek.
