A glamorous Cronulla bartender was hauled to court after she was caught drug driving in the middle of the night while her licence was suspended.
Jessica Butterfield, 20, was charged with driving with illegal drugs in her system and driving while suspended after police pulled her over in Cronulla on March 7.
Court documents reveal Butterfield’s licence was suspended at the time and a roadside drug test returned a positive result for cannabis in her saliva.
She had also been charged with driving while suspended on one prior occasion.
Butterfield did not attend Sutherland Local Court on Thursday and Magistrate Peter Bugden disqualified her from driving for three months and fined her $1000 in her absence.
The former private schoolgirl, aspiring beauty therapist and Fusion bartender will now be off the road until October.
Butterfield is currently working on a bushfire recovery project on the state’s south coast.
The circumstances surrounding the charges were not revealed in court documents as Butterfield was sentenced in her absence.
