A young man from Sydney’s south repeatedly threatened to stab and murder a 16-year-old girl and her friend while he was high on cocaine and pills.
Kirrawee man Jayden Govan, 18, will serve an 18-month community corrections order after he was convicted of threatening to kill the Sutherland Shire girl during an argument on the phone on June 23.
Govan used his friend’s phone to call her before the girl’s friend began recording the conversation so she could pass the threats onto police.
“(Govan) said “bring your f***ing stepdad and I’ll kill him right in front of you and then I wanna grab your mother and slit her throat slowly and watch you f***ing cry,” the police facts read.
“Let’s go, you dumb f***ing little whore.”
Govan told the girl he had consumed “three bags of coke and about seven caps” when she accused him of harassing her because he was high.
“(Govan said) “I’ll put a gun to your head you stupid little b***h,” the police facts read.
“When I see you around Miranda you just hope I don’t have a blade on me, or when I see you coming home from work or getting off at Gymea station.
“I’ll stab you, I’ll f***ing stab you, that’s a death threat.”
Govan’s male friend then told the girl Govan was coming for her and her friend before she begged him not to come to her house and they fled for another location in Caringbah.
Govan was subsequently arrested at his home and charged.
The man, who works as a supermarket cashier in Sutherland, was too intoxicated to be interviewed that night.
