“I’d just been let go from my job and I didn’t want to be around my missus when I was angry so I went to the pub,” Williams told Sutherland Court Magistrate Glenn Walsh on November 8.

“I was locked out and I just got that angry that I headbutted the window.”

Williams had been drinking with mates at the Tav when his girlfriend attempted to pick him up and take him home.

When he didn’t answer the phone, Williams’ girlfriend returned home.

“The accused arrived at the victim’s address and began knocking to be let in,” the police facts read.

“The victim refused entry due to the accused’s level of intoxication.”

Williams stayed outside for an hour while the victim locked herself in the bathroom.

“She heard a window in her bedroom shatter,” the police facts read.

“The victim immediately contacted triple-0.”

Mr Walsh found Williams guilty without conviction.

“You’ve resorted to alcohol to try and get by the difficult situation,” Mr Walsh told Williams.

“It’s the worst thing you can do.”

Williams assured Mr Walsh it would never happen again.

“Good man,” Mr Walsh said.
