Three people charged over a home invasion in which a Sydney apartment was allegedly torn up by two men armed with a baseball bat and knuckle dusters may now face a District Court trial.
Georgia Smith, 20, was charged with aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence after the alleged incident at another woman’s Jannali unit on January 25.
Police allege Smith acted as an accessory after the fact when Jamie Haami and Jake Clift allegedly broke into the apartment on Railway Cres.
“Georgia Smith was (allegedly) an accessory after the fact to a break and enter at the unit,” court documents stated.
“(She) then, in the said unit, did (allegedly) commit a serious indictable offence of destroying or damaging property in circumstances of aggravation that her alleged co-offenders Jamie Haami and Jake Clift were armed with an aluminium baseball bat and a black pair of knuckle dusters.”
Smith will face Downing Centre Local Court for charge certification on July 14.
Clift, 24, was also charged with an aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence, and is now subject to an interim apprehended violence order to protect the alleged home invasion victim.
He was refused bail and will next face Central Local Court for charge certification on July 16.
Haami was charged with aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence, as well as a domestic violence charge of intimidation in relation to the alleged incident.
He was granted bail and will also face Downing Centre Local Court for charge certification on July 9.
