Chelsea Hall, 27, pleaded guilty to savagely biting a woman at Northies on September 29 last year after hair pulling devolved into horrific violence that left the victim with a 3cm bite mark requiring hospital treatment.
The Woonona woman will be sentenced for assault causing actual bodily harm at Sutherland Local Court on May 9.
“After purchasing alcoholic beverages the victim and her group made their way over to the dance floor in front of the DJ booth and started dancing,” agreed police facts stated.
“The accused has then moved backwards and was intentionally bumping into the victim’s friend.”
As the pushing escalated the victim stepped in and told Hall there was room behind them on the dance floor.
“The accused has pushed the victim with both hands with enough force to cause the victim to stumble back,” the facts stated.
“The accused grabbed the victim by the by her hair and the victim grabbed the accused’s hair and pulled out her hair extensions.”
Hall and the victim then came face-to-face before Hall leaned forward and began biting the victim on the left side of her cheek.
“It took two security guards to separate the accused and the victim,” the facts stated.
Hall told police she had acted in self-defence as one the victim’s friends touched her neck.
“Her friend grabbed me by the throat and wouldn’t let go, the only thing I could think was I can’t breathe, and her face was right there and I literally just panicked and bit her,” Hall told police.
“I felt like I was going to die … I obviously drank too much … I shouldn’t have done it.”
