A long-established Shire travel agency has gone into liquidation, owing thousands to the tax office.
Highfield Enterprises Pty Ltd, which traded as Caringbah Travel Service, was placed in voluntary liquidation on June 30.
The liquidator said the company owed more than $30,000 to the ATO.
The Caringbah-based company is now in the process of being wound up by liquidator Robert Kenneth Peile.
According to the Australian Securities and Investments Register (ASIC), the business appointed Mr Peile as liquidator at a general meeting on the final day of the last financial year.
“Highfield Enterprises Pty Ltd has one unsecured creditor being the Australian Taxation Office for an income tax liability of $30,447,” he said.

“This will be paid in full as part of the liquidation process.
“There are no other debts or creditors.”
The Australian Business Register shows that the business was first registered in April 2000 and traded as Caringbah Travel Service until April 2010.
