The son of footy legend Ted Goodwin has pleaded guilty to supplying illegal drugs alongside his ex-partner.

Grayson Goodwin, of Cronulla, faced Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday and entered guilty pleas to four counts of supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.

He appeared from custody through video link wearing a high-vis yellow vest over his prison greens and did not apply for bail.

Goodwin’s ex-partner and co-offender Simone Fisher, 29, of Caringbah, who was a promising AFL program co-ordinator, had pleaded guilty to participating in a criminal group and drug supply.

Goodwin’s father, nicknamed “Lord Ted” played in three first grade grand finals with the St George Illawarra Dragons from 1972 to 1978.

Court documents state police began investigating the 35-year-old in July 2023, which led to the discovery of large-scale drug deals organised through encrypted app Threema.

Goodwin’s username was “MysticMac” and Fisher went by “Auntie”. There was a third person involved – “Air Jordan” – who remains unknown.

The messages revealed Goodwin had sold 1kg of ketamine for $15,000 and 1kg of meth for $28,500.

Police raided his mother Joanne Goodwin’s Burke Rd Cronulla property on October 26, 2023 and found 4965g of ketamine and 183g of meth, police facts state.

Neither Joanne nor Ted Goodwin were accused of any wrongdoing.

Goodwin’s Elouera Rd Cronulla property was also raided a few days later where officers discovered $24,050 cash above the kitchen fridge, 150g of cocaine and 1449g of meth.

Police arrested Goodwin the next month while he was driving a Ford Ranger. He claimed he was “just a delivery boy” and he showed police a hidden compartment in his car.

Goodwin was found with $700 cash and when officers asked him about the $24,000 they had found, he told them it was his savings.

The case has been adjourned to May 8.

In February, Fisher was convicted and sentenced to a 12-month community correction order.
