An elderly netball coach accused of sexually touching three teenage girls is facing new charges over allegations he also sexually touched two girls under 16 at a Sydney church.

A former Sydney netball association president charged with sexually touching multiple teenage girls has now been charged over new allegations he sexually touched two other teenage girls at a Sydney church.

Former netball coach Peter Allan Crawford, 70, was charged with eight counts of intentionally sexually touching a child and another count of attempting to sexually touch a child in December 2020.

On March 25 Crawford was charged again at Kogarah police station with two counts of indecently assaulting someone under 16 years, assault with an act of indecency and sexually touching another person without consent over new allegations he touched two teenage girls at a Beverly Hills church.

St George police will allege these offences occurred between December 2016 and December 2020.

Crawford was granted strict conditional bail on the new offences and will appear at Sutherland Local Court in relation to all charges on April 13.Court documents reveal the St George District Netball Association’s former president was first accused of sexually touching three girls – aged between 12 and 15 – between March 2019 and September 2020.The locations where the alleged offences are said to have occurred include Kingsgrove Netball Courts, Rockdale Women’s Sports Fields, Clemton Park Netball Courts and Robin Webster Sports Centre in Tempe.

An elderly former netball association president has faced court charged with sexually touching three young girls at a number of netball courts across Sydney’s suburbs.

Former netball coach Peter Allan Crawford, 70, was charged with eight counts of intentionally sexually touching a child and another count of attempting to sexually touch a child in December 2020.

Court documents reveal the St George District Netball Association’s former president is accused of sexually touching three girls – aged between 12 and 15 – between March 2019 and September 2020.

The locations where the alleged offences are said to have occurred include Kingsgrove Netball Courts, Rockdale Women’s Sports Fields, Clemton Park Netball Courts and Robin Webster Sports Centre in Tempe.

Crawford appeared in Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday for the first time since he was granted bail in December 2020 following a raid at his Beverly Hills home conducted by child abuse detectives.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Orford confirmed the Director of Public Prosecutions would take carriage of Crawford’s case in the Sydney District Court.

The matter was adjourned to Sutherland Local Court on March 2 for brief service and to resolve three provisional apprehended violence orders to protect the three young complainants in the matter.

Crawford said nothing in court and did not respond to questions when he departed after his appearance.
