A former Sydney netball association president has been committed to stand trial on allegations he sexually assaulted two teenagers at a Beverly Hills church.

Peter Albert Crawford, aged in his early 70s, formally entered pleas of not guilty to four charges, including the indecent assault of a minor and sexually touching a person without consent, at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday.

The former president of St George District Netball Association appeared in court by videolink where he was represented by lawyer Anneliese Oldcastle.

The court had previously heard the charges are related to allegations Crawford touched two teenagers at a Beverly Hills church between December 2016 and December 2020.

The matter will be mentioned in Sydney District Court next week. It will join with separate criminal proceedings involving Crawford, in which he has been charged with 13 sexual touching offences allegedly taking place on three girls, aged between 12 and 15, at sporting complexes in Sydney’s south. Crawford has previously entered pleas of not guilty to those allegations and has been committed to stand trial.
