Keely Palmer still in hospital as mum Dale Palmer set to face court
Doctors have provided an update on the 27-year-old who remains in hospital after she was allegedly hit by her drunk mum’s car and dragged along the road.

A young woman who was allegedly hit and dragged 100m while police say her mother was drunk behind the wheel of a Toyota Starlet is now in a stable condition in hospital.
Emergency services found Keely Palmer, 27, trapped under a Toyota Starlet after her brother’s 21st party at their Caringbah South home at 12.40am on May 2.
Her mother Dale Palmer has now been charged with high range drink driving at more than three times the legal limit and aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
Police allege Miss Palmer was dragged by the vehicle for 100m and subsequently trapped until Fire and Rescue NSW and paramedics freed her 80 minutes later at 2am.
Miss Palmer was then rushed to St George Hospital in a serious condition with “significant injuries to her right arm and right leg”.
Two days after the incident, a South East Sydney Local Health District spokeswoman confirmed Miss Palmer remains in hospital but is now in a stable condition.
Dale Palmer will face Sutherland Local Court for the first time on Wednesday after police granted her strict conditional bail on Sunday afternoon.
Palmer’s licence was suspended on the spot after she allegedly blew 0.166 at Sutherland police station and she has also been slapped with an interim apprehended violence order for her daughter’s protection.
On Sunday, Sutherland Shire police’s Chief Inspector Gary Ford said police were still unsure how the Starlet driver – alleged to be Dale Palmer – came to hit Miss Palmer.
“There was a family gathering at the mother’s house and an incident occurred in a street outside a driveway,” Insp Ford said.
“The circumstances surrounding what happened are still being investigated.”
