Jessie Dahdah: cocaine supply charges land real estate agent in District Court

To the outside world he was an up-and-coming Sydney real estate star. But Jessie Dahdah had a dark secret, which was exposed in a southwest Sydney KFC car park.

Australia's cocaine crisis

A prolific Sydney cocaine dial-a-dealer came unstuck when detectives caught the moment he did a deal in a southwest Sydney KFC car park.

Jessie Dahdah, 29, was an up-and-coming real estate agent in Bankstown preparing for the wedding of a lifetime to his fiancee Rachel Dale.

But the Woolooware man’s secret side gig supplying cocaine across Sydney’s suburbs was exposed once and for all when detectives watched the moment he completed a deal in the KFC Milperra car park.

On February 12 Dahdah had supplied five “half-bags” for $500 to a woman in Northbridge, 1.4g of cocaine to a customer in Granville and 0.62g worth $260 for a regular in Wattle Grove when he went to the fast food joint for one last deal that day.

Agreed police facts tendered to Burwood Local Court reveal detectives were watching the exact moment it all went down.

“(The customer) was heard counting out $150 cash and Jessie Dahdah supplied him with 0.62g of cocaine,” the agreed police facts state.

Police then pulled the customer’s car over and found the bag containing 0.62g of cocaine in his wallet.

“At 7.44pm (the customer) called Jessie Dahdah and told him they had been seen at KFC and he was pulled over,” agreed police facts state.

“(The customer) said ‘f**ken, they found it’.”

One week later detectives swooped on Dahdah at his fiancee’s mother’s Woolooware home, where all three were residing together.

A raid subsequently uncovered two resealable bags containing 1.26g of cocaine in his car’s centre console, 15 resealable bags containing 9.07g of cocaine in a bedroom safe, 0.35g of cocaine in a cupboard drawer and 1.04g in a bag in the couple’s wardrobe.

Police also found an MDMA cap in the safe, 0.27g of MDMA and six blue and white MDMA caps weighing 0.69g in the couple’s bedroom – for which Dale was also charged with prohibited drug possession.

There was also $1170 cash and an array of steroids including testosterone.

“Dahdah admitted to having purchased 15 or 16 bags of cocaine for $2000 and making that purchase once every few months,” agreed police facts state.

“He confirmed the MDMA was his and solely for his usage and that the cocaine was for supply as well as his personal usage.”

Dahdah was subsequently charged with 20 offences and at Burwood Local Court on Wednesday pleaded guilty to drug supply on an ongoing basis and two counts of prohibited drug supply.

He was committed for sentence in the NSW District Court on October 29, where the court will also consider 12 counts of prohibited drug supply, one count of prohibited drug possession and one count of possessing prescribed substances on sentence.

A prohibited drug supply charge and a count of knowingly dealing with crime proceeds were formally withdrawn by the Crown.

Dahdah’s fiance Dale pleaded guilty to prohibited drug possession in relation to the blue and white MDMA caps and was sentenced to a two-year conditional release order without conviction at Sutherland Local Court on September 23.

Dale’s mother is not accused of any wrongdoing.

Dahdah has been in custody on remand since his arrest on February 19 following failed applications for bail in the Local Court and Supreme Court.

The agreed facts tendered to the court reveal police first began investigating alleged cocaine supply across Sydney’s suburbs in May 2020 under Strike Force Joalah.

“The investigation used telephone intercepts, physical surveillance and listening devices,” the facts state.

“Jessie Dahdah acted as a driver for (another co-accused), supplying cocaine on a street level to a number of customers.”

Police facts indicate Dahdah was caught in the act supplying cocaine 12 times between January 15 and February 13 in Wattle Grove, Revesby, Yagoona, Denham Court, Northbridge, Granville, Milperra and Wattle Grove.

Two weeks before his arrest, police intercepted texts between Dahdah and one of his regular customers in Wattle Grove.

“(The customer texted) ‘last time was s*** man what happened, it was terrible’,” agreed police facts state.

“(Dahdah replied) ‘oh wow, I got a new one, everyone said it’s really good so try this one, I haven’t tried this one but there’s four that have tried it this week and loved it”.

A sentencing assessment report will be prepared for Dahdah’s sentence in the District Court.
